Empower student-athletes to have integrity in a society that is ever-changing and inspire each individual to hone and build upon their academic and athletic abilities to their highest potential through discovery, innovation, and high expectations.

Personalizing each student’s education 

Evolution MN will give students the opportunity to experience an education that is geared towards their own interests and goals by:

1. Offering a personalized, educational approach with a commitment goal of a 15-1 student-to-teacher ratio.
2. Providing students the opportunity to work on a Capstone project of their choice (in select subjects) throughout the school year, in order to offer an application-based, hands-on approach.
3. Setting goals for each individual student and identifying ways to accomplish these goals (i.e., create a goal, construct a game plan, and execute).
4. Reflecting on the progress made towards the goals that have been set.
5. Understanding how each student best learns (e.g., visual, auditory, kinesthetic learning styles, etc.).
6. Using data to differentiate instruction for individuals and groups of students.

Preparing students for the next steps

Evolution MN is dedicated to supporting each student-athlete in the next steps of their education path (high school and college) and their athletic endeavors (high school, college, and beyond) by:

1. Committing to high academic expectations which consist of fulfilling the Minnesota State Standards and beyond.
2. Encouraging and teaching students to take ownership of their learning through critical thinking and inquiry.
3. Providing students with the experience of seeing what their next steps look like (e.g., hearing from scouts, high-level coaches, college professors, etc.).
4. Building organization skills through the use of planners, note-taking, and time management mastery.
5. Ensuring rigorous academic and athletic programs that push all students towards their goals, academic proficiency, and beyond.
6. Embracing failure as a means to success.

Establishing a dynamic school culture

Evolution MN seeks to cultivate a school environment that encourages:

1. Building positive relationships between students and staff members.
2. Becoming lifelong learners, both academically and personally.
3. Establishing norms on how to agree and disagree
4. Being thankful and appreciative of the resources we have and the people inside and outside our school community.
5. Holding each other accountable for our actions and words.
6. Teaching student-athletes how to maintain positive attitudes in the midst of competition, adversity, disappointment, and success.
